Dealwize provides a native, cloud-hosted Remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Instead of forcing you to install Node.js, manage local JSON config files, or keep terminal processes running in the background on your machine, Dealwize connects directly to your web-based AI accounts—including Claude Web / Custom Connectors, ChatGPT, and IDEs like Cursor and Windsurf—over secure HTTPS and Server-Sent Events (SSE).

2. Authentication: Mixed Auth Architecture#

Dealwize implements a mixed authentication model designed for maximum flexibility:

1. Guest Diagnostic Mode (No Authentication Required)#

The analyze_deal tool can be executed completely unauthenticated. You can paste any raw call transcript, discovery recording, or email thread into your AI assistant, and Dealwize will immediately generate a comprehensive Deal Health assessment and Mutual Action Plan without requiring you to log in or create an account.

2. Workspace Mode (OAuth 2.0 or API Key)#

When querying or updating saved deals inside your private workspace (e.g. get_deals, get_deal_health, update_deal), authentication is enforced via:

In-Chat OAuth 2.0 (Recommended for Web Clients):
1. Add https://api.dealwize.co/api/v1/mcp to your AI client.
2. The client discovers Dealwize's OAuth endpoints via /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server.
3. The first time you ask a question about your saved deals, a secure browser popup opens.
4. Log in using Google SSO or your work email to link your chat session.
Integration API Key (dw_live_...):
1. For IDEs (Cursor, Windsurf) or automated backend scripts, log in to app.dealwize.co.
2. Navigate to Settings > Integrations > API & MCP.
3. Copy your live API key (dw_live_...) and pass it as an HTTP header: Authorization: Bearer dw_live_YOUR_KEY.

4. Human-Readable Identifier Resolution#

LLMs and sales reps rarely think in 36-character UUIDs like f47ac10b-58cc-4372-a567-0e02b2c3d479.

The Dealwize Remote MCP server includes an automatic Slug <-> UUID Resolution Engine:

When an AI client passes a human-readable slug (e.g. deal_id: "acme-hybrid-cloud" or "meridian-hospitality"), Dealwize automatically resolves it to the correct internal database record.
When returning data back to the AI client, internal database UUIDs are automatically replaced with clean, human-readable organization and dealboard slugs (org_slug/deal_slug), keeping conversations intuitive and error-free.
